Many people in the Okanagan Valley have seen what they believe to be Ogopogo. Some are afraid of facing possible ridicule if they report it, and some just don't know to whom they should report it.

We do not think it is a joke. Many well-known citizens have come forward over the years and added their names to the list of those who have reported sightings. There is no scientific reason NOT to believe that a prehistoric animal has survived the centuries and propagated over time, specifically due to the geological evolution of the Okanagan area. There have been too many completely separate reports of similar sightings over the years of what we now refer to as Ogopogo, going as far back as the original native inhabitants.
